Heading South

Tomorrow the Jeffer, Shaughn and I are heading south to visit his dad. I'm more or less packed -- he's no help at telling me what I need to take so I'm winging it on wardrobe. There's a good outlet mall just across the causeway and I'm counting on them to provide whatever I forget.

I feel human again. Last night we decided that we needed a good laugh and watched the Lethal Weapon series for prolly the 100th time. It's ensemble acting at it's best and I always have the feeling that they had a blast making the films. I like to see people enjoying their work. We had our best laugh at the end of Lethal Weapon 3 when Riggs (Mel) tells Lorna (Rene), "Let's live to regret this!" Jeff and I simply exploded with laughter and said. "Yeah, let's!" Silly? Yes. We tend to be like that and always have been.

We're hoping to get things wrapped up quickly but are sorta playing it by ear. If need be, I'm flying back here because I have some tests scheduled (and Dr. Maria is adamant about it) and assorted other nonsense.

Here's some video taken recently of my favorite beach on Sanibel and where I hope to spend most of my time.

And Jeff suggested this "one hit wonder" from 1976 . . .

Y'all take care and have fun!!!! I'll miss you madly and will log on when I can!!!

Hope y'all are having a great day!!!!!

Happy Blogging!!!!

Kay

  7. Hey, I hope you have a great trip. By the way, my wife selects her clothes, but I have to pack them for her. She says I'm better at it. This is true. It's also awfully convenient.

  14. Have a safe a fun filled journey. I know you will enjoy the beach but leave the sandwiches home; they sand seems to migrate to the filling and you bite into something crunchy that you didn't expect. ;-)

  18. Bumps: You have your nerve calling anyone a racist considering what you write on your blog.

  19. Hope you have a great trip. Played catchup with your activities since the first of year and you've been busy as usual with life's unexpected events. Can see I didn't need to write on my blog (I wasn't most of that time) because you touched all the bases. I missed a good time to write about the OSU football team -- they finally won it all!
