[Note: All the videos are quite (mercifully) short!]
* I'm tired of hearing the Tea Party and the Teabaggers scream that they want their country back.
What if the Native Americans decided to rally and say that they want their their country back? Even if one buys the Bering Strait theory, the bottom line is that they were here first.
* Rush Limbaugh again confirms what a nut case he really is with this this amazingly stupid comment:
* I was wondering when someone would use this word regarding the talking heads at Faux News and they finally did . . .
From Dictionary.com: sedition: 1.incitement of discontent or rebellion against a government. 2.any action, esp. in speech or writing, promoting such discontent or rebellion.
'Nuff said.
* I've noticed that our nice young Congressman is getting a lot attention from the media deservedly. That he has a calm and rational style, shoots straight from the hip, and is kinda cute probably accounts for it. I really am proud of this bill that he introduced.
Enough of the nuttiness of the big bad world! Today is busy with assorted nonsense and bureaucracy.
A bit of humor: Jeff is barely Internet literate and learned a new trick: He has discovered YouTube and sent this oldie clip of a song we loved from the summer of 1966 when we met. Were we really ever that young? Or that thin? LOL
Hope y'all are having a great day!!!!
Happy Blogging!!!!
Kay
We were that young and thin. I even have a shot of me very thin holding a protest sign. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou make it a good day, now.
We grew up around the same time...I knew that song well!
ReplyDeleteRush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Sarah Palin make me crazy.
Love that song....and I know that the thin me is the real me....just in hiding now. Beck et al are the scum of the earth. It is one thing to protest for your beliefs. They are doing it for the money. Capitalistic sedition?
ReplyDeleteAl Gore invented the Internet and ever since the World has gotten Hotter!
ReplyDeleteJohn
Did he just blame the volcanic eruption on Obama? Even he can't be that stupid. I have to listen again.
ReplyDeleteI loved the trip down memory lane..seems like so long ago..and those people make me crazy as well..sometimes I listen to Rush just to get me blood pressure going he is amusing..

Apologies in advance, I could not bring myself to click on the Rush videos, I can't stomach it. The Buffalo Springfield was just the antidote I needed, thanks.
ReplyDeleteSize 6 (or was it 4?) wedding dress for me. Our song was The Twelfth of Never. As for the extreme right (or the left), I've been politicked right out of my mind. In California Meg Whitman with all her eBay money is buying TV against not only her Republican opponent, she's gearing up to take on Jerry Brown. Barack was in L.A. yesterday--I would like to see him in person some time.
ReplyDeleteI held my nose and watched Rush go into his 'fake anger rant'. It amazes me that there are so many stupid people who make up his listening audience. How can they be so naive as to believe his ridiculous rants?
ReplyDeleteA little suggestion from a little red hen: turn off the tea partiers and their supporters. TURN ON ways to support candidates running sensible campaigns again them.
ReplyDeleteThere are issues that could use your talents better--immigration reform, por ejemplo!
