Remembrance of Things Past

Since reading all the wonderfully kind comments on Scarlet's sketch of me, I have been in a very introspective mode. I found that you many of you thought it captured my spirit and that interested me. I'm just me. I don't really think of 'me' as having any sort of spirit.

The sketch was drawn from the picture above. It was taken in the summer of 2006. I was in love -- or at least I thought I was. I was happy. So was he. He called me the love of his life.
Obviously, I wasn't. We parted after about a year and a half when I went through a really bad thing when my neighbors almost put me crazy. We started talking again about a year ago and eventually got together again but it wasn't right. The magic was gone and meanness prevailed (not on my part). I know it's better this way but I look at that picture and can't help but recall the good times. Thanks for bearing with me and for your very kind words.

Happy Blogging

  1. are prettier than the portrait! It's good of you but it makes you look a harder person. The photo is lovely, because you were happy. And I'm sure you will be again.

I know what you mean about the magic's being gone. I went down that road, too, but we have somehow mended our wounds and I think can be considered friends.
