The Friday Groaner!!!!!!!!!

Ohhhhhhhhhhh boy!!!!!!!!!!!! Get ready for a real knee-slapper from Nancy Leitz!!!! I swear that when she isn't writing stories for The Elder Storytelling Place, she's as bad (or good?) as I am in searching for groaners!!!!!! This one is exceptional and I'm sure y'all will agree when you're reading the punchline with a huge grooooooooaaaaaannnnn!!!!!

A man is dining in a fancy restaurant and there is a gorgeous redhead sitting at the next table. He has been checking her out since he sat down, but lacks the nerve to talk with her. Suddenly she sneezes, and her glass eye comes flying out of its socket toward the man. He reflexively reaches out, grabs it out of the air, and hands it back.

"Oh my, I am so sorry," the woman says as she pops her eye back in place. "I'm sure that must have embarrassed you so let me pay for your dinner to make it up to you."

They enjoy a wonderful dinner together, and afterwards they go to the theatre followed by drinks. They talk, they laugh, she shares her deepest dreams and he listens, he shares his and she listens. After paying for everything, she asks him if he would like to come to her place for a nightcap and stay for breakfast. They have a wonderful, wonderful time.

The next morning, she cooks a gourmet breakfast with all the trimmings. The guy is amazed and totally impressed. Everything had been SO incredible!

"You know," he said, "you are the perfect woman! Are you this nice to every guy you meet?"

"No," she replies . . .

"You just happened to catch my eye."

GRRRRRRRRRRoooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!

Happy Blogging!!!!!!

  5. Kay,

I love your blog! Your jokes and funny stories bring laughter.

I hope you're feeling better. I've dealt with that sleeping issue. It always works out but is no fun when you're going through it.

That, with your permission, will be my opening joke before my Sunday School lesson.

  7. Ronni -- you're very welcome!

Judy -- I had, too, and am delighted that Nancy reminded us!

Willy & Joared -- LOL! Your responses are appropriate & not at all surprising!!!

Stu -- but you went ahead & hung in for the groan anyway, didn't ya? lol

Amy -- thank you so much! Hopefully, I'll be back to posting more than groaners soon although. Credit also should go to all my good friends who have supported the groaners and have conributed to The Friday Groaner.

Annie -- I am certain Nancy won't mind if you use it! If a groaner is told in the forest and no one hears it, is it still a groaner? LOL

  8. What makes us laugh at something we've heard before? The chuckle just escapes before we can realize it's an oldie.
