Hallelujah and AMEN!!!!! I'm back!!!!!

We came; we saw; we kicked their a$$.  I am happy.

I have spent countless hours the past few months working toward this night and this outcome.  I am overjoyed.  That said, I've missed y'all but y'all can't begin to realize the pressure that we were under.  It was tough but we made it.  We also showed some D.C. types that we we know how to play hard ball and deliver the goods here in the heart of it all.

I just got home from our team's  "watch party" at the lovely home of our hostess with the mostest -- Mel who prepared  us a glorious feast and adult libations.  There were hugs all around when Ohio went blue and even more when our county went blue.  Mission accomplished!!!

I learned that one of Mel's best friends is an old friend of mine as is her husband (who is battling cancer) and I made sure that she  had my phone numbers  if she wanted to talk. I also got to know a few other of  our team members better and that was fun as well..

Tomorrow. I'm heading to HQ to see my gals:  Brittany,  Steph,  Morgan, Jess, and Norrie  i.e.,  the organizers who kept us all on  task. These lovely and intelligent young ladies are harbingers of the future of this country and trust me when I tell you that our future is bright if these ladies are in charge.

I am happy.  I learned a lot,  met some  wonderful people,  and hopefully preserved or laid the foundation  for positive change in this country . . . until the next time we're under attack.

I need a rest but I'm going to try to get around to visit and get back to blogging asap.

Happy Blogging!!!!!

Kay

  3. I'm SO happy that Obama's back Kay. I can't thank you enough for all your hard work to help get him re-elected. I thought about you many times last night when they talked about the standings in Ohio....you should feel very proud that you were a part of it. I can't believe I stayed up until the very end...but I was feeling so good at how things were turning out that I had to see everything. Great speech by our President...classy guy. ~Joy

  6. It is still hard being a Dem in Texas. At least my county (Bexar - San Antonio) went blue.

  7. Good job, Kay. We here are also relieved though a bit cautious. Wait and see. But no doubt--Obama is definitely more reassuring than Romney. I am glad this was one of the few times where the guy we voted for got in. Yipee!!!!!!
