Things are just getting weirder. Yesterday I was in ER -- again. The night before I had, what the ER called, an episode of vertigo. I wasn't feeling well and my eye (the one that I had the surgery on) was bothering me. And as I took myself to bed, I fell and banged up my less than perfect face as well as my good arm and was literally crawling around my place which told me that all was not well . We're experiencing temperatures in the 90s here and I don't have AC. Usually, the heat doesn't bother me but, obviously, this year it's a problem -- probably due to my ear problem. In the morning Michelle took me to the ER before she went to work.
I was at the ER five hours and now have a diagnosis of vertigo, dehydration, contusions, a bladder infection (and a partridge in a pear tree). I have a scrip I need to fill and I have to follow up with an appointment with Dr. Maria in the next couple days but I'm not allowed to drive. Sigh. I also need a trip to the grocery. And I'm supposed to rest. And the beat goes on . . . and this is as good as it gets for today. Michelle called to see how things went and says that Bryce will come and help with housework. I'm grateful!
I'll be trying to get around to visit y'all and catch up on emails.
Hope y'all are having a great day!!!!
Happy Blogging!!!!!!!!!!!

Vertigo can be a real bummer. If one can walk at all, one gives every appearance of being drunk. Fortunately, my bouts have lasted only a few hours each. Are your bouts long ones? Medication induced? (It isn't really helpful to know we have vertigo, is it? We want to know what is causing vertigo which is a symptom!)
ReplyDeleteGood luck!

Whoa! A way to much happening to you.Try to get some rest,eh
ReplyDeleteThe scorching heat has arrived here in the North. At six AM the thermometer on our patio read 82 degrees in the shade, luckily there was a nice breeze off the Bay. No A/C either.
here just fans which does help
Good gracious, Kay! That sounds so scary. I hope you get everything fixed up and you can heal up quickly. My father had vertigo from one of his medications.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, I am so glad you are alright & someone is there to help.
ReplyDeletetake it easy & I hope you get better!
My God Kay. I hope you are feeling better soon
ReplyDeleteStay hydrated... particularly in this heat.
ReplyDeleteWell, you're having all of your ailments at once, aren't you clever? When you get over them, you should feel great! lol
ReplyDeleteI hope you will follow the docs orders and stay hydrated!!
ReplyDeleteWell, at least you haven't lost your sense of humor (the partridge in a pear tree). But seriously take care of yourself. Stay hydrated; go have lunch at the food court at the air conditioned mall; and, I dunno, but we have a walk-in clinic near where we live, run by the local medical group, and it's pretty decent with no long wait -- might be worth checking out if you have anything like that around where you live.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bummer of a day! Hopefully, you're feeling better now. I can not imagine being without air conditioning. Sometimes just plain water doesn't work and you need something like Powerade. Whenever I go out I take a bottle of Powerade and drink it on the way home. It really does help.
ReplyDeleteBe better soon.
Thinking of you and sending "feel better" vibrations that might cause a bit of a breeze. yours, n
ReplyDeleteOh Kay What a bad time you are having. I wish I lived close by. I would go to the drug store for you etc etc.
ReplyDeleteTake care and drink plenty of liquids to avoid dehydration again. How about cold towels on your neck and maybe some frozen peas or corn on your face to cool off.

Oh, my. Sorry to hear about your woes. Take good care of yourself. I'm hoping to soon read a post or two about your speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry, Kay. Vertigo is a terrible sensation; been there, done that. I think the heat and becoming dehydrated can cause the symptoms you describe. I'm glad there is someone there for you.
ReplyDeleteI, too, think that you might benefit by having someone take you someplace that is cool, Kay. Heat's no joke!
ReplyDeleteHope you're doing better.

You're scaring me, lady!!!
ReplyDeleteOh boy! What a terrible sequence of events! I hope that you get back on your feet and start to feel good again. My prayers are headed in your direction. You have had more than your share of adversity. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteOh, Kay, I'm sorry you are feeling so crappy. I know that I do not do well in heat myself. It triggers panic attacks for one thing. Do you ever have that happen? Just take care of yourself--dehydration and bladder infections within themselves can get out of hand quickly. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteSure hope you're on the mend from all that's happening to you. Vertigo makes movement a challenge I know from personal experience. Hope you get it diagnosed and treated quickly. Yes, do drink lots of water.
