This is where I think out loud about Life, the Universe and Everything. I consider life an adventure and this is part of mine whether I'm ranting on politics or taking you on a ramble through Kay's World.

Veteran's Day
Today is Veterans Day and as member of a family that has served, protected and defended our country from the American Revolution to the present, I urge you all to take a moment to let pay homage to the men and women who have made the sacrifice to protect our country and especially remember those who gave their lives for our country. May a gracious and loving God bless and keep them safe.
Here's a great video for today!
Hope y'all are having a great day -- and don't forget to hug a vet!!!!
Happy Blogging!!!!!!!

Uh, I think I'd just like to give ole Willie an up close and very personal hug. ; ) Good video.
ReplyDeleteI saw a video of a woman who started a Hug a Vet program at the airport. I think every military city like Tucson should start a similar program. The look on the faces of those Vets was beautiful when they were hugged; especially those who had no one to greet them as they returned from the brutal Mid-east.
ReplyDeleteRemembrance Day is such a special day for me---we've had veterans of the great British-related wars on both sides of our families. My dad was in WW2, but his proudest remembrance was his time spent as a Peacekeeper in the Congo. Says a lot.
ReplyDeleteI always do Kay. My father served in the Royal Airforce in WWII (He didn't need to do so a he was underage and from a neutral country). His father was part of the first British forces sent to Belgium at the outbreak of WWI. He was captured at a rearguard action that helped saved a whole Corps and spent virtually the whole of the war in a POW camp.
ReplyDeleteHi, kay. How are you? I just dropped by to say hello.
ReplyDeleteI Hope you have an incredible Weekend!
