There are new wrinkles in the fabric of my life in addition to the usual annoyances so I've been tap-dancing on the edge. I'll spare you the gory details and just say that I'm weathering it as best as I can amid all the other things I have on my plate. Don't worry -- 'survivor' is part of my job description so I'll be okay. Let's just say that my anxiety meds are getting a workout and I suspect that a session with the shrink is prolly in my future.
As usual, I've been collecting all manner of goodies for your enjoyment and I hope to be getting around to see as many of y'all as I can.
* Elizabeth Warren (who I would love to see as the first woman POTUS) was the keynote speaker at Netroots Nation and said: "We don't run this country for corporations; we run this country for people." Y'all can see the video here if y'all are so inclined -- it's definitely worth the time.
* And here's Bill Maher with an excellent summation on politics:
* Seen in Wisconsin last week:
* From my "This-would be funny if it weren't so true department":
* Robert Reich on Taxes:
* If I didn't hate Facebook so much, I'd be siging on here:
Gotta run!!!!
Happy Blogging!!!!!

I especially loved the Wisconsin sign...I can't help thinking - if the Republicans were in the White House, what spin would they put on the numbers (unemployment, etc.)?
ReplyDeleteGod knows they'd figure a way to blame us ordinary folks. And for sure they'd nail the unions!
DeleteGreat post... and thanks for stopping by and leaving words of encouragment on mind...
ReplyDeleteHope the Dr's can find a way to get you back to the great fun of life, to its fullness...
1. I consider visiting and encouraging other bloggers an integral part of blogging. I just wish everyobe else did. Yeah, I'm not as assiduous as I'd like to be but right now there's a couple things behind the scenes that I won't discuss -- yet.
DeleteAs to the docs, it's not their fault. Only I can change things and I need to decide how I can accomplish what I need to do.
I like the Scott Walker addendum!
ReplyDeleteWhy am I sooooooooooooo not surprised???? LOL
DeleteI love that Wisconsin sign. The only group where Walker was a winner was older white men.

ReplyDeleteWarren, Maher and the few Knights are putting up the good fight. They give me just a glimmer of hope.
ReplyDeleteI'm very enthusiastic about Elizabeth Warren - can't wait to have her for my elected representative. Hope all medical issues are getting resolved. It's not fun, for sure.
