Had to Post This

I'm still not quite up to what passes for par today. The official diagnosis was a TIA which some call a mini-stroke. I've had them before -- usually when the world gangs up on me -- I'm sorta used to it after over thirty years as a stroke survivor and I tend to blow it off. However, I don't want to have to postpone my trip up north as I think it will be beneficial for my mental and physical health so I'm going to be a tad sparse in the blogging department.

However, I was thrilled when I saw this video at Crooks & Liars this morning and wanted to share it with y'all! This is a great lady who actually likes elders and makes great sense!!!!! That she won in a traditionally Republican district should send a message to the GOP that elders are angry and they vote! Ms. Hochul's victory gives me hope!

Hope y'all are having a great day!!!!

Happy Blogging!!!!!

Kay

  1. Kay, a mini-stroke,OMG! Please, please take it easy. Just take baby steps, watch some comedys. Put all your stress on your blogs (that's what I do) and when you feel the world is ganging up on you, then we here in blogland will take up the sword and fight with you.

    take care

  3. Go, Kay, and be well! TIA's are scary and confusing. Make your trip and enjoy it.

It was good to hear democrats cheering again. Thanks for posting that video, which I missed last night.

My kids are in their thirties now; they are the seniors who will suffer those changes that the Ryan Budget Plan proposes. Imagine--and you'll find it easy to do--that you have to shop the big insurance companies right now to get the best deal for your medical treatment. Imagine!

I heard about the woman winning - I hope that happens in a lot of places!

  5. LTTS: It's not a big deal. It's happened before and I know what to do. And the stress came from blogging and that's all I'll say until I get the whole thing in perspective.

Jan: I miss you, my friend!!!

Nance: After 30+ years experience with stroke, I really don't pay much attention. If I'd paid attention, I could have avoided it. I can't wait to get away for a few days where I'm reasonably content. I loved that video, too, and thought it important to share it.

    Judy: I'm following your orders!
    Glad you liked the video!

  7. It's nice to see people get their due; it's even better when they're Democrat people.

I try to remember this when I find life becoming burdensome.just a suggestion for you, Kay. Be well my friend!

  12. Being a stroke survivor myself, I tend to pay attention as the TIA's hit my vision center.

So stay safe and enjoy the trip. Hugs.

  13. Kay, I'm sorry you have had a TIA, but that explains a lot about how you have been feeling. I didn't realize you had continued to have them in the years after "your big one."

Here's hoping you can make the trip.
