The Friday Groaner

I'm not feeling well at all and of course I can't get into the doctor but I'm simply telling you this to explain my absence from the Blogosphere. However, I did remember The Friday Groaner. Jeff was over today after I called to cancel dinner with him and his dad tonight and he told me this almost-not quite a groaner. I think it's excellent and hope y'all do, too. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

In these hard economic times, a well-turned out lady applied for a job in a Florida lemon grove. She seemed wayyyyyyyyy too qualified for the job so the man in charge was a bit dubious.

“Look, Miss,” said the foreman, “have you any actual experience picking lemons?”

“Why, yes!” she replied,
“. . . I’ve been divorced three times.”

(Rolling my eyes and shaking my head!!!!)

Happy Blogging!!!!!!!

Kay,Thanks for sending a laugh out to all of us when you are not feeling well. Get better soon.

  10. HA. I have friends who would say that!

Hope you are better soon, Kay.

  11. Hope you're feeling a bit perkier. If it's meds they need to get adjusted, I sure hope they figure that out soon.

When I've been frustrated about seeing my doctor in a timely manner I've finally just gone to a local urgent care that's affiliated with one of our local hospitals. A friend doesn't really have a family doctor and basically goes to her urgent care in another community from me where she thinks she gets better doctors, anyway. Only problem is if she has to get admitted to the hospital, then has to come up with some Dr. affiliated with the hospital.

  12. Oh Kay, I hate that you haven't been feeling well. Now it's Sunday...I hope it's gotten better. We've talked about this before...and it's so frustrating. Sending you postive thoughts and loving hugs.... ~Joy

  13. I hope you are feeling better, Kay. It was a cute groaner.
