Proxy Grandbabies

My nickname at work is "abuela" which is Spanish for grandmother -- partly because I'm older than everyone else but mostly because I'm so fond of the children who visit our office and those who are the offspring of my coworkers in particular who I call my proxy grandchildren. The video below was done by our computer design person of his darling three-year-old daughter (with her lovely mother in a supporting role) who always has a big smile and a big hug for me. Her grandparents are far away in Argentina so I get to play surrogate.

When we had our fund raiser and the sound system was being set up, Zoah was at the mike. I told her mom that she was going to be a star. I think this video adds to that prediction. Enjoy!!!! (Note: El Baile de Zoah translates as Zoah's Dance)

Happy Blogging!

  1. She is a star. Very cute!

Loved the part when she goes down the hall, turns on the light and uses the wall as a prop. :)

  2. What a cute kid - she makes me want to dance - but I don't have the energy.

  3. Being a grandma in any form is hugely fun. This little girl is a doll!

  4. So absolutely adorable, Kay. Don't we wish we had that kind of energy?
