Quote of the Week!

I'm getting totally burnt out on this campaign 2012 and I actually took a day off and spent some time with an old friend. Call me cynical but the bottom line is that I'm still going to be battling poverty no matter who gets elected -- it's just a matter of degree.

An online discussion group on philosophy and theology that I follow yielded the most interesting and witty food for thought that's come my way in a long time. (note: this is not an invitation to begin such a discussion here.) I hope y'all will find it as interesting as I did. And yeah, giggle if you want.

"We were talking about theology -- not religion. Theology
is like being gay; you either are or you aren't. Religion is deciding which
gay bar to frequent."

Have a great day!!!!!!

Happy Blogging!!!!

Kay

  4. Funny quote! I'm glad you're getting some recognition for your efforts and contributions. People at various economic levels below that percentage at the very top will benefit from your work, too.

FWIW in Calif. our news is saying Ohio voter percentage predictions presently indicate Obama will win the Buckeye State. They also talk about all the early voting going on as in Colo. and how this impacts what predictions are made. My view is that despite all predictions, "It isn't over until the fat lady sings!" (No offense intended to fat ladies.) We have a month to go before election day -- I feel concerned some pro-Obama voters may assume their vote won't matter, so they won't bother to vote.

I can understand why you may be feeling burnt out, but don't stop now, unless you need to in order to avoid health issues -- then definitely do so. I'm sorry to say that I don't think you're being cynical that "...it's just a matter of degree." But one step at a time as the work will have to go on with Obama offering the best hope -- plus we need to see if we'll have an understanding supportive and productive House and Senate.
