It's the Groaner of the Week!!!!!!

The recovery time from this surgery has been driving me nuts -- or is that nuttier? A tip of my thinking cap to Evelyn aka Cop Car for telling me to get off my asker. I have been exhausted -- which is usually a side effect of surgery for me and sleeping a lot but this has not helped. Having to go through the annual bureaucratic baloney (and some extra was thrown in just for good measure) just before it hasn't helped much and I've been sleeping a lot. Please forgive me. And thanks for your loyalty and support!!!!!

Excuses aside, here's the GOTW and I think it's a pretty good one!!! Enjoy!!!!

My buddy's grandfather clock suddenly stopped working right one day, so he loaded it into his van and takes it to a clock repair shop.

In the shop is a little old Bavarian man who has a very heavy German accent. He asks Mike, "Vat sims to be ze problem?"

My buddy  explained, "I'm not sure, but it doesn't go 'tick-tock- tick-tock' anymore. Now it just goes 'tick . . . tick . . . tick.'"

The old man says, "Hmmmm!" and steps behind the counter, where he rummages around a bit. He emerges with a huge flashlight and walks over the grandfather clock.

He turns the flashlight on, and shines it directly into the clocks face and. then says in a menacing voice:

"Ve haf vays of making you tock!"

Happy Blogging!!!!

  5. LOL, this is a good one :)

I, for one, believe in a lot of sleep for the body to heal itself. It's good to hear your voice :) and know that all is as well as it can be. Take care, looking forward to your next post.

  7. It is good to hear that you have that surgery behind you and are on the road to recovery. There is nothing wrong with sleeping...it is how the body heals itself. No guilt.

Sleep is good, but too much can give you a befuddled brain. Hope you are feeling better!
