Bill Maher's New Rules are always right on and a day brightener.
He also had my hero Anthony Weiner on the panel:
If this 1:32 minute video doesn't give you a laugh, I think y'all need a funny bone transplant. It also explains why I refuse to date anymore.
Tomorrow is the Super Bowl. I'm cheering for the Green Bay Packers!!!
Why? My mother was a born and bred in Wisconsin and I am the daughter, granddaughter, niece and cousin to countless Cheeseheads. AND, perhaps more importantly, I am an Ohioan born and bred and more specifically, a Northeast Ohioan and it's a rule that we never, ever support the dastardly Steelers without committing high treason. Goooooo Packers!!!!
Note to Conservative bloggers: If you want to me to post your comments that insult me and my politics with gross inanities and downright lies, show some cojones and let me come to your blog and insult you with the truth. Then again . . .
Hope y'all are having a great day!
Happy Blogging!!!!!!
Kay
Kay, please do not ever think of giving in to those who want to stop you from exercising your right to free speech.
ReplyDeleteYou, and your views, are important. Anyone who tries to demean you for expressing your thoughts is not.
Dick: Thanks a lot!!! I know that you and I don't always agree but we act like grownups. It's just one of those days where I don't feel well and I'm cranky. One thing we do agree on is that the Packers rule!!!! Some of my best childhood memories are of your hometown and the great State of Wisconsin! I'm glad to have you here.

ReplyDeleteMy son-in-law is a Packers fanatic. My daughter is a Steelers fan. I know they'll still be together on Monday, but I'm wondering which one will have to wear the other's jersey to work.
Lorna: Thanks!! I'm just tired of some rude people being rude people. I take my blog and my 'Net friendships seriously and work hard to meet my obligations. And I don't appreciate those who don't. It makes me wonder if it's worth it.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the kids are having fun with it! Let me know who wears what to work.
What Dick said!
ReplyDeleteDon't let them get to you! You have a right to your view!
ReplyDeleteKay -- The video of that woman and her recent divorce is so silly. Why would anyone like to bash their husband on the air in such a public manner. -- barbara
ReplyDeleteDavid hates Ben and the Steelers, so we're rooting for the Packers, too! Looking forward to a fun SB.
ReplyDeleteJudy: Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteMarty: Not so anyone wouls notice.
Barbara: The key word is EX-husband. And if your husband would rather spend time with Fox News than you, it's insulting. I went with a guy who was a conservative (yeah, me!!!!) for a couple years and the rhetoric put me crazy so I think I understand how she feels. And as a member of the First Wives Club myself, I understand her frustration. A body says a lot of dumb stuff after a nasty divorce.
Gigi: I have to be a Packer Backer My mom is from Wisconsin and one of eight kids in a Catholic family so I'm related to half the state and no loyal Cleveland Browns fan (which I am -- God help us!) can ever support the Steelers.
Hey, Kay, don't worry about the rude idiots and don't let them mess with your mind. They are the reason for delete/span and other such settings. I use them frequently, usually for people who insist on commenting anonymously or trying to anonymously use my blog to advertise something. I don't allow either no matter how innocuous the seem.
ReplyDeleteWhat Dick said. And what MaryContrary said. I've come to use spam and delete more as well. I also have, in the past, posted the nasty comments with a rebuttal. But then, again, sometimes I'm just in the mood for a good fight.
ReplyDeleteDon't let the idiots get to you.
Don't let the bastards get you down!
ReplyDeleteLoved this! Those Tea Baggers absolutely drive me crazy. I loved the Bill Maher video.
ReplyDeleteAbout the Packers though. I'm sorry, but I'm from Chicago. Sigh... 'nuf said.
Trolls don't bother me. I nuke them and move on.
