Wishing All Y'all a Happy and Safe 4th of July

This painting is a favorite of mine and I thought it appropriate today. The artist, Archibald Willard, is a fellow Buckeye and you can read about it here.

Hope all of you spend your 4th of July with the of the ones you love most and best in the pursuit of happiness! I hope you take a minute or three to ponder and appreciate the awesomeness of what our Founding Fathers began on this day 208 years ago.

Also, please consider my suggestion over at Time Goes By: Send your Congress Critters and all the wannabe Presidents copies of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. I think they need a review and have ignored these fine and forward-thinking documents far too long!

AND don't forget to pray for all those who are serving our country around the world as well as those who have given their lives for us.

Happy Blogging!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Happy Independence Day, Kay. I don't know if re-reading the Constitution, etc. wil help those people. They don't act as if they've ever read it.
