Hmmmmm . . .

Kay's World isn't a good place to be today. I had some great ideas for a blog post but on second thought . . . you don't want to know how I really feel -- I'm just glad that they're over soooo . . .

That said, let's escape to the wonderful world of YouTube . . .

* The other night for my Netflix I watched "Wishful Drinking", a one-woman show starring Carrie Fisher. Yes, that Carrie Fisher -- the daughter of Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher if you're old enough -- and Princess Leia of Star Wars fame if you're not. I laughed, I cried, and I empathized as she talked about her life and it's challenges and struggles. She is quite a lady. Here's a 36 second teaser:

* I watched CNN to see the ball drop New Year's Eve just to watch the unflappable, always correct Anderson Cooper lose his composure. I saw a thing with Kathy Griffin -- who I think is a hoot -- a while back and she said she was gonna do something nutty to unnerve Cooper and she did . . .

* Good news!!!! Bill Maher will be back on the 12th. Here's 1:16 to hold you over:

That's all I can manage today. It's winter and gray days put me tap dancing on the edge!

Have a great day!!!!

Happy Blogging!!!!!

Kay

  2. Kay, these were hysterical! I don't ever get to play on YouTube, so I am so glad you bring some of the highlights out!

Love the Carrie Fisher clip. I really need to go watch that from beginning to end.

    Stay warm up there!

  4. You do manage to find some of the best videos! Hubby opted out of Netflex a few months ago and I'm still missing it...I'd love to watch the whole Carrie Fisher video. I remember working on the tobacco harvester all day, wondering when Debbie's baby would be born. I saved every penny I could scrape up to buy those Hollywood magazines to keep up with not only Debbie and Eddie but that good looking Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh as well. Oh, my, those were the days! Looks like you're finally getting the "weather" up there? And I know you're really enjoying the primary today in Iowa. Remember what they say in Hawaii! HANG LOOSE!

  7. Oh, Kay, I do know what you mean. I can handle sub-zero cold or knee-high snow if only I have sun. Today is beautiful. Hope this comes your way.
