A Couple Notes

Thanks for all the good words yesterday -- especially the ones from Gene who made my Monday so very nice!!!

* Today getting in the swing of things was difficult but I did manage to get some visiting in and if y'all didn't see me, I'll be around.

* My computer woes continued and I finally decided to switch my default browser to Firefox. Hopefully, MSN can stuff it where the sun don't shine. We'll see how that goes so please bear with me as I adjust to the ins and outs as well as the peccadilloes that are always inherent in any software one encounters. Helpful hints and advice are always welcome.

* Glen Beck really did it this time . . . in less than two minutes! Y'all can see and read about it here.

* The Ohio Democratic Party is holding a 'Good Jobs, Strong Communities' Rally at the Statehouse in Columbus again on Thursday!!! I wish I could go but I can't. Think maybe we're fed up here in Buckeye land?

* Have y'all seen this man? He looks like a man to be reckoned with carefully.

I just wish he'd use some of that with certain members of Congress.

* Here's the song that's been (annoyingly) nagging at me since my birthday and I'm hoping that by posting it, it will go away and leave me be 64 my way. It's really sort of a guy song but it won't go away. Sigh.

Happy Blogging!!!!!!!

  1. I'm trying to catch up with my visiting tonight. Ooops! It's 12:17 AM. I'm going to be a basket case tomorrow. First Blogger was going nuts on me and wouldn't let me open blogs, then we had this horrendous thunder and lightning storm, then I had craziness around here. Sheesh!

What a crazy week. Glad to know your week is starting to look up.

  2. It's nice when I am down here to be able to watch videos :) Thanks for the links

  3. Don't know anything abt. MSN, but I have Firefox and it seems to work fine. Hope your technological future is trouble free!

That Beatles song. It was cute at the time. But apply to us? Who woulda thunk it??

  4. Kay: I hate when that happens!

Rain: Cool! I've been trying to add links with text for videos 'cause I know that you have trouble with them. And I know that you're not alone.

Sightings: I like Firefox but it does have its limitations.

  5. Yup, blogger has been burping, darn it. Glad to see you here tho. Hugs.

  6. Ya gotta be careful, though. Today I almost posted Obama for Osama. Unlike Beck, I wasn't doing it on purpose. I guess it's best to stick to Bin Laden.
Kay: For some reason your part of the world was targeted for massive right wing takeovers. Thank god you are at last fighting back.

  7. Maggie: I'm trying to get to a regular schedule.

Hattie: If Kasich and the GOP hadn't demonstrated so much arrogance and over-stepped their bounds, we wouldn't be fighting.

  8. Love the look on Obama :)
Love the Beatles song but hate it when a song gets stuck in my head.

    take care

Hello Kay and congrats for shifting to Firefox! I also wanted to suggest Chrome because it's pretty fast and light for your PC to handle.

  10. that sonng never NEVER leaves the brain. I've been hearing it for 5 years now

  11. "Love the Beatles song but hate it when a song gets stuck in my head." - LttS

That phenomenon is known by the wonderful downright Germanic-sounding term "earworm," and I get 'em all the time! I once wrote some doggerel on the subject, titled Daze of Whine and Neuroses, a name which, accprding to Google, a lot of other people independently used for other purposes.

  12. Oh blip! Now I've got that "64 number" stuck in my head. Lemme go put on some Willie Nelson; maybe it'll help.

  13. Oh, by the way, I switched a several years back to Firefox. We get along much better than that other one we had been using, internet explorer.
