Just a Few Notes . . .

I'm still catching up -- and it's starting to look like a job for Batman. I think I need one of those bat signal thingies to signal for help from the Caped Crusader. That said, I'm still fighting with my eyes and my computer and I think I have figured out what the problem with the former is: my monitor is too damned bright and I'll be damned if I can figure out how to get it adjusted properly. And there are no instructions on how to adjust it that I can find . . . yet. As a result, I'm trying to limit my online time because to otherwise hurts and causes panic attacks. It's a toss up to which of those two dread things I hate most. And thanks to all y'all who liked yesterday's post on the TJ Center.

* Last night I had a lovely and fun talk with my friend Gene who comments here often and we're meeting for lunch on Monday over in Wooster and from our conversation, I can tell you that she's a doll and I'm looking forward to meeting her and am sure we will have great fun!

* For all y'all who are fans of my hero, Bernie Sanders, tonight he's gonna be on both The Rachel Maddow Show and Jon Stewart's The Daily Show and if y'all miss them, full episodes of both will be online tomorrow. How do I know this? I subscribe to the newsletter, The Friends of Bernie Sanders and am proud to be a member. And yeah, as with all politicians, y'all can contribute to his efforts for us there. And here's Bernie on The Dylan Ratigan's show:

This 1965 oldie brings to mind finals week my sophomore year at Kent and I think it's germane to our country's plight today. We sang it at top volume in the dorm just before Absolute Quiet hours took effect!

Hope y'all are having a great day!

Happy Blogging!!!!!!!

  1. It seems like Sanders is a lonely voice in the wind.

  2. Robert: He really isn't. My Senator, Sherrod Brown (D-OH), ie always with Bernie -- he even stayed the distance and spoke during The Speech.

  3. Kay, is there a way to set the background to a dark color and the text to white? Look in the Control Panel.

  5. Eric Burdon was here and gave a great concert, those who attended tell me. That was a great song.
It's people like Ernie Sanders who help to keep me sane in these crazy political times.

  8. I didn't know you went to Kent
I think of that place often
when I remember my days of SDS and marching and singing and believing that was all that was needed to change the world

  11. Impressed as always that you keep cranking out messages important and/or hilarious. Computer problems make me want to lie down and wish it were 1950 again.
