It's the Groaner of the Week!!!!

I am still trying to get my energy back but I couldn't forget your weekly grooaaannn. Today is a doctor day and my goal is to get around and visit as many of y'all as possible and hopefully, I can work my way back into my regularly scheduled program!!!!!

I think y'all will giggle and grooaaann at this gem from the archives!

Artifacts are a major portion of an American Indian reservation's economy. Annually, thousands of tourists visit reservations and most will not leave without purchasing at least one memento of the traditional Indian culture.

One enterprising Indian was able to outsell his competitors in the sale of wooden dolls by selling them at only a fraction of the cost others had to charge. On examination of his dolls they found that where traditionally hard wood was used, this Indian would use cheap pine on which he glued thin pieces of fine mahogany, thus being able to produce the dolls at only a fraction of the cost.

While he claimed his dolls were still authentic, his competitors complained that his dolls were just . . .

. . . a cheap Sioux veneer.

Happy Blogging!!!!!

  1. Hmmmm..........that one is a real groaner!!

  2. LOL, that is a good one :)

It takes time to build up energy after surgery. You'll get there :)

  3. Oh god that has everything in the way of total badness! Thanks a bunch.

  4. After that grrooaannaahh, I have joined you in recovery.

  5. Oh. BROTHER!!! You groaned me, for sure!

    Be well, sister.

  6. I hope you feel better. You know with English not being my first language I have a time with your groaners. I had to read the Cheeses of Nazareth 3 times to get it (I knew it had to be funny but I did not know why…), as well as the cheap Sioux veneer – I tried to listen to the words as if I heard them from someone with a heavy US accent, then I got it.

  7. Oooo...a good groaner Kay....

I'm glad you're slowly getting back after your surgery. It's pretty important that you take your time and get enough rest. I hope you feel better and better with each day sweetie.

  8. If you visit Tilly at Laughing Housewife:

she's got a groaner you might like. You always make me smile.

  9. And I loved this groaner.

  10. Oh, Oh, oh, I am obviously tired as it took two readings the last out loud to figure it out. Oh, groan.
