Type-Casting C'est Moi!
'Tis the season to be witchy. There are those who say I am one all year long and that it's type-casting or showing my true colors but it is my favorite garb for Halloween. Brice took this goofy photo of me when he and D.O.G. came to visit while I handed out treats to the kids today. We had a giggle when a little girl (about 4) came dressed as Dorothy complete with ruby slippers and her daddy told her I was a witch and she got scared until I told her that I was a good witch. The crowd was bigger than usual and I nearly ran out of treats before it was over. The tie I'm wearing says: This is my costume and I wore it with a long plain black dress to a Halloween/Ohio State game (yeah, the Buckeyes stomped Minnesota 63-10!) party last night
Here's Brice who kept me company while I handed out treats:
D.O.G. came over to help, too! And yes, he got his treats, too!!!
Little Ana is the cutest teddy bear around and helped her mommy!!!!!! She doesn't much like her suit but we all deemed her adorable.
And my buddy Russ posted this for those who are naysayers bout Halloween. I liked it and hope you do, too.
We all had a fun afternoon!!!
Hope y'all are having a great day!!!!!!!
Happy Blogging!!!!

So hope you felt better today, and you sound vastly improved. What fun was had by all. :) No kids here and tonight we are out of town.
ReplyDeleteWay cool that you dressed up to pass out the treats!
ReplyDeleteI don't like Hallowe'en at all but it's not about the religious right. I'm seldom on the right about anything. I just stopped being enchanted by it when people started putting razors in apples.
ReplyDeleteNice costume though. I do love costumes.
Great pictures. It looks like you all had fun. We never get any trick or treaters out our way.
ReplyDeleteLike your costume. Wow! What a score on that OSU game. You must have really worked a spell.
ReplyDeleteOSU out here is OregonSU Ducks. They're feathers are permanent ruffled womping one of OhioSU's nemesis -- UCLA (my best friends alma mater.) The other past Rose Bowl nemesis is USC which is having all sorts of problems besides their football team's performance.
Darling pictures....! It looks like you all had fun! No one comes here anymore---They drive to The Flats to a Well Lit Neighborhood where there are lots of Houses...
ReplyDeleteAnd it is just fine with me! I don't have to buy all that Candy any more which I would end up eating...lol!
Great to know that the candy nearly ran out and you had such a good time.
ReplyDeleteno kids here for trick or treat. it's a dark street...
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all these photos, Kay! Funny thing is I didn't see many or any little girls dressed as witches. Glad to see you had fun passing out candy. We did, too.
ReplyDeleteBoo! Hope you had a great time passing out the treats. Looks like you had a great time. You look great.
ReplyDelete10-4 willy
We had way more kids than usual, too. It seemed like most of the parents taking them around dressed up, too. It was nice. Halloween is a lot tamer in my neighborhood than it was 20 or 30 years ago. It's all done by dark, no vandalism or problems. It used to be a little worrisome, but no more.
ReplyDeletelove the post!!!! now we can SEE what a nice neighborhood you have....
ReplyDeleteYou are not a witch, you are one of us!!! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was a fun day. We had more than usual here, too.
Oh, and Minnesota fired the coach this season.....I don't understand why there is even a team. They are never much good.
