A Note from Kaptur Country

Marci Kaptur (who Saul Friedman wrote about at TGB) keeps getting re-elected in my hometown because she works so hard for her constituents. My stepmom loves her because she takes care of her own.
Toledo has been hit hard by present policies and the loss of jobs and lots of homes are being foreclosed. Here's her stance on the housing crisis. I think she's doing things right.

Check out her other videos on YouTube that show a lady who stand up for all of us!!!! Her speech on the bailout is priceless! She is one of my heroes.

Hope y'all are having a great day!!!!

Happy Blogging!!!!

  1. I wish more people would do that. In the example this woman has a LOT of equity, it would be crazy for her to walk away. Unfortunately many people bought houses with little to nothing down, now that the value has dropped, they lose nothing by walking away. Each case is different, of course, but yes... more people should simply not "roll over" when pushed out of their homes.

  2. Glad you have a good rep in your hometown. I hope she stays in her office for a long time! And I'm glad you shared about her. A lot of the times we don't give credit to those that are doing for us.

Shame on me for not sharing about the good people here in my hometown.

  3. We need more people like her in politics. Unfortunately, she is a rare specimen.

  4. People have been very trusting. I guess that's over. I really like Marcy Kaptur and wish she represented me. Our congresswoman, Maizie Hirono, is good, but she is rather remote from local interests. People are getting foreclosed on right and left here, and she is not saying anything about that.

  5. She is very inspirational. I recall watching her on Bill Moyers--oh, how I miss his program.

  6. Toledo is lucky to have Marci Kaptur. I wish every state could have politicians like her, the ones that truly try to help their constituents and aren't in there just for their own glory.

  8. We need more of her! Maybe cloning isn't such a bad idea.

  9. We definitely could use more people like your rep Kay. People like her need to continue to stay in office to represent and carry the torch for all of us. Thanks sweetie... ~Joy

  10. Am sure Toledo friends share your view of her and think he was politically active when he was able.
