Busy Day!!!!!

It's a busy day! I'm on the phone and heading to Social Security to do paperwork. I finally got hold of the various bureaucrats that mostly keep my head above water and got the permissions I need to accept the position that the U.S. Census Bureau has offered me. All that is left is going to Social Security this afternoon to give them the information they need in person and fill out the ubiquitous paperwork. I accidentally learned that going to S.S. in the afternoon is best. After showing up there to a packed house around the time they open in the morning and waiting seemingly forever, I happened to go one afternoon and discovered that the wait time was practically nonexistent. Cool, huh?

It pays really well and I'll be working about 20 hours a week for about two months after 32 hours of training. I will be doing field work and interviewing those who committed the grievous sin of not filling out the mercifully short form. (If any of y'all didn't fill out the form, send it today or you'll be receiving a visit from some poor schmuck like me.) And yeah, they pay mileage. I'm sure it will be an interesting adventure and provide blog material. Bottom line is I need the money.

Going to work also means that I have to get more dedicated to getting organized in case an apartment becomes available so I'm making lots of lists and working on cleaning closets, etc. Yikes!!!!!

And I have to re-arrange some doctor appointments around my trip up north in June and get organized for that.

It's time to stop messing around. I've gotten used to not having to do things unless I feel like it and 'gottados' haven't been high on my agenda so this is a little daunting and I have to remind myself that it will be worth it in the long run. Never fear -- I will prevail!!!!!!

Hope y'all are having a great day!!!

Happy Blogging!!!!!!!

Kay

My son did this job the last time around, and he found it very interesting, to say the least. It is good money. You really should be encouraging folks to NOT send in the forms, so that there will be more work!! I finally got mine in the other day. Hope all goes well for you.
