It's the Groaner of the Week!!!!!!

Leave it to my dear friend Alice of My Wintersong to think of passing along a groaner in the midst of her chemo for lymphoma. She hasn't posted anything new lately but her dear hubby has been updating us regularly on her progress. That she left a comment here yesterday was a grand surprise and the nicest thing I'd received of late as I -- and lots of others -- have been really worried about her. Stop by and wish her well.

This is really a gem!!!!

A British passenger in a taxi in Dublin leaned over to ask the driver a question and tapped him on the shoulder. The driver screamed, lost control of the cab, nearly hit a bus, drove up over the curb, and stopped just inches from the edge of the bridge over the Liffey River.

For a few moments everything was silent in the cab, and then the still shaking driver said, "BeJaysus, I’m sorry, but you scared the devil out of me."

The frightened Brit apologized to the driver and said he didn’t realize a mere tap on the shoulder could frighten an Irishman so much.

The driver replied, "Will the Saints in Heaven forgive me, it’s entirely me fault. Today is me first day driving a cab...

"I’ve been driving a hearse for the last 25 years."

Thanks, Alice!!!!!!!!

Happy Blogging!!!!!!!

Thanks for the laugh, Kay. I'm just getting ready to hit the road toward Kansas City MO (FEMA has meetings there, tomorrow and the next day) and this puts me in the perfect mood.
    Thank you!
