This video of the Scottish Parliament never ceases to amaze me! That men and women can join hands and sing like this (with gusto!) despite their differences should be a nice lesson to us all. And that's one of the reasons why I'm posting it again. The other is the Scottish blood that flows in my veins.
And last night was also a Blue Moon which my dear friend Rain explained so eloquently on her blog and put me in mind of this oldie but goodie. I really love this rendition by Julie London. I think she was one of the true greats.
May 2010 and beyond bring all of the good things to y'all and all that love you back!
Happy New Year and Happy Bloggiing!!!!!!!
Kay
I loved Auld Lang Syne. Thanks for sharing it. Happy New Year, Kay!
ReplyDeleteWhat better place for Auld Lang Sybe than the Scottish Parliament! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteMakes me proud of my Scotch Irish heritage. I was very emotional wishing our Congress could do something like this every year. Thanks Kay for a great New Year message! Go Buckeyes!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and may it be better in all ways than the last!!

ReplyDeleteHAUOLI MAKAHIKI HOU.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY NEW YEAR in other words.
2009 went by so fast for me. Hard to believe we are in a new decade.
Hi Kay . . . You woke up the plaid side of my ancestry and I thank you. Ain't it a shame that our politicians can't sing a note. If they ever join hands in some kind of harmony, I'll push a peanut up Constitution Ave. And your compliments to Rain are right on the mark. Have a Happy New Year.

Do you know I have a friend who told us that she can't understand why they call it a new moon because she went out to look and it looked perfectly normal to her. LOL
