Random Sunday Thoughts

It's been quite a week. Still trying to get things organized on every level. And the damned thyroid keeps slowing me down. Oh well. I thought about writing about politics but decided that I'm grumpy enough so I took pity on my blood pressure and canned that idea.

Judy over at Imagine . . . got me thinking about Irving Berlin's wonderful music -- his musicals in particular -- and I had a wonderful time at YouTube watching and listening to video clips. Here's a favorite of mine from the movie version of Annie Get Your Gun with Betty Hutton and Howard Keel. If it doesn't set y'all a-smilin', you're grumpier than me!!!! Enjoy!!!!!

Happy Blogging!!!!!!!!

  1. I had completely forgotten about Betty Hutton and Howard Keel. Thanks for the memory.

How about those cowboy boots with a tuxedo? "W" would approve.

  2. I'd not know of Betty Hutton. Don't know how I could have missed her. Thanks.

  3. Kay, I am so sorry that I'm late getting here. Thanks for the link, and I'm glad you like Berlin's music as much as I do.

  4. Ah, yes, Betty Hutton. I remember her from movies. She did a live show many years ago at a Columbus premier dinner club, now long closed, and needed a pick up band to supplement her musicians. My husband was the bass player. She was married to a name jazz musician at the time, but his name escapes me. She wanted her bass really loud, as I recall.

I haven't been getting around to visit everyone for awhile. Hope the black dog has left you and the thyroid is getting stabilized. Your challenges with the bureaucrats and getting your healthcare is enough to keep anyone off keel. Do hope you can soon have it all resolved in a way as you would have it.
