It's the Groaner of the Week!!!!!!!

I am late posting this. I'm seriously disorganized but prevailing and I owe dozens of emails to lots of y'all -- mea culpa -- due to my commitment to Obama. On Saturday, the Obama bus was here and a really nice young man from national visited and spoke. Why is our little city getting so much attention? Because we always meet or exceed our goals. It really is gratifying to have your efforts noticed and rewarded! I've never worked on a campaign that treats its workers so well. When I said that to one of the local leaders, I was told that that policy came straight from the top. And that tells me something about Obama that I like a lot.

Here's a graphic that's not quite a groaner but it left me giggling and thinking. Hope y'all like it, too . . .

Old Chris didn't know what he was starting!!!!!

Happy Blogger!!!!!!

  1. I had the hardest time explaining Columbus to my first graders... without telling myths that we now know were false.

  2. Good one! Why on earth is he celebrated in the US since he never set foot on any soil that forms the United States

    1. Hellifiknow. You and I know that (I studied European history) but the average American doesn't
pay much attention to history -- and that really galls me. However, that explains a lot about us Yanks.

  4. You are a wonder, Kay, and I love that Columbus thing.
I am so encouraged to hear that the Obama campaign is supporting and honoring its workers. They understand that that is where the real power is.
On our local front, we Leaguers registered 50 voters yesterday, including one man who had not voted for 30 years!

Love the Columbus card. In Albuquerque, I picked up a tee with a photo of four "Native American Chiefs", each with a Springfield rifle. Below the photo is the caption, "Fighting terrorism since 1492."

  6. Guess it just goes to show when myths and falsehoods are repeated often enough many people believe them. That's what concerns me about this campaign. Given how the polls are reported to have fluctuated following the so-called TV debate seems as though there wasn't a lot fact checking. Seems your work is still cut out for you in Ohio.
