It's Just Another Day in Paradise . . .

I'm still buried and it's gonna be worse until it gets better. Sigh. Just when I thought I was making inroads on all the things on my 'gottado' list, the damned phone rang. Sunday Alec called to tell me that Jeff was in the hospital and could I please go take care of Shaughnessy for a couple days. Yikes!!! Of course, I can't turn Alec down so my list just got longer. It seems the Jeffer had a heart attack and needs some surgery. Alec had talked to his doc and asked him to contact Cleveland Clinic and send Jeff up there because they are the best. By the time he called me, he had made arrangements to fly to Cleveland (it's December so he's in Florida) tonight to be there for Jeff so I'll be taking care of the Shaughn until he brings Jeff home and we'll work from there. Soooo I'm trying to get my stuff done and wrangling that spoiled overgrown puppy. I'm trying mightily to get caught up with y'all and still get ready for the the holiday madness.

I'll try to keep y'all updated on how things are going with the Jeff -- the good folks up there are really excellent so I'm 99.9% sure that he'll be driving us all nuts again in record time.

Have a great day!!!!

Happy Blogging!!!!

  1. For your good deed you're allowed to spoil Shaughnesy. Take care.

  2. Wow, sorry to hear about that. May Jeff be back to driving you crazy sooner rather than later.

  3. Now, calm down. Take a deep breath. And, take everything a day at a time. You'll either get it all done on time or you won't. If you do, great and if you don't, it'll be a little late.

  4. You never wanted a quiet December, did you. Thanks for the news.

  5. Oh, my, hopping everything goes well from this point on. Having a great hospital always makes things a little easier.

  6. Wow, Kay! You've sure got your hands full. Good luck with that lucky spoiled puppy.

  7. Joanne: Shaughn was spoiled from the day Jeff got him. His predecessor, Derry, was just as bad. Sigh.

Sightings: That's what I'm afraid of -- very afraid!

    Betty: Thanks!!! I needed that.

Mage: I sure didn't want that overgrown pup and his dad and grandpa -- Jeff & Alec -- invading my plans for a very quiet holiday.

Colleen: Yes, it does indeed. I've a couple great ideas for his convalescance that I hope will fly.

Kay: Shaughn is happier than I am -- but walking him is good for me but he whines terribly when I leave him.

  8. I haven't read that name in awhile; was wondering where he was. Hope everything goes well for him, and for yourself.

  9. Alice: As you may recall, Jeff and I parted ways. However, Alec and Shaughnessy and I are still friends. And no, we will not get back together.
