Anyone who reads here knows that I don't suffer the fools gladly -- especially politicians who use their privilege/power in a cavalier manner. And y'all will prolly remember that I landed on Republican Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey with both feet when he used a government helicopter to transport him to his son's baseball game. I also applauded him when he appointed a Muslim judge. I do try to play fair.
Today he merits applause again because of these good words:
"Our people are suffering now, and they need support now. And they
(Congress) can all go down there and get back to work and figure out budget cuts later."
Take that, Eric Cantor!!!!! I hope your constituents throw your cold-hearted butt out. And Governor Christie, I applaud you!
Happy Blogging!!!!

Indeed, Indeed!!! Well said, my dear Kay!
ReplyDeleteWell, good on 'im! Nothing snaps a guy to attention like a good disaster.
ReplyDelete'Course, Cantor's district had two back-to-backers and he didn't even flinch. What I'd give to be walking the streets of his district right now with a microphone!
Kay -- I applaud too -- barbara
ReplyDeleteNaomi: Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteNance: You betcha!!! It could be rather enlightening!! Hell, if I lived in his district, I'd be on the phone to the media and telling all and sundry to do the same.
Barbara: Thanks!!! I just call 'em like I see 'em!!!!
Good for him Kay...nicely said.
ReplyDeleteGood Post!! I am applauding also :)
ReplyDeleteMe too!
ReplyDeleteJoy: Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLTTS: Great!!!!
Lorna: Glad to have my favorite Canadian's support!!
Good of you to stay fair.
ReplyDeleteFriko: I pride myself on being an Equal Opportunity Annoyer! LOL
ReplyDeleteAlthough, I am often appalled by his politics, the guy has a way with words and he is so right about this.
ReplyDeleteMaria: I know what you mean. NJ was hit hard by Irene and at least Christie cares enough about the voters to take a stand. Whereas, Cantor's district in VA took a double whammy: Irene AND the quake and he's playing silly-assed games.
