It's about Damned Time . . .

It's about damned time somebody said it and God bless Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont for having the cojones to say it!!! Here's a clip from "Face the Nation" that lays it on the line. It's only about three minutes and worth every second.

Amen and Hallelujah!!! When the lust for power overides the needs of this country, it's time to raise some serious hell!!! I urge all of you to write, call or email your representatives and demand, in no uncertain certain terms, that we want the bullsh*t games stopped!!! (Sorry for cussin' but it's the best way to keep my blood pressure from spiking -- and if y'all heard what I really said, the coal miners and sailors among you would be blushing.) And if y'all can manage it, give some time to get rid of the idiots propagating this dirty agenda in the coming mid-term elections. And remember: If you don't vote, you lose your right to complain! Just my take.

And they call themselves patriots . . . sigh.

Hope y'all are having a great day!!!!!!! I'll be back tomorrow with a post to bring y'all up to speed before I hit the road!

Happy Blogging!!!!!!

Kay

  1. This has been my biggest gripe. To be a leader, sometimes you need to just get out in front and LEAD. And sometimes to get in the back and PUSH. This is great stuff. Thanks for posting it....the cussing is justified.

  2. I love Bernie. One of the few with the sense and GUTS to speak up for the country instead of the Party.

  3. He got it right. I agree with his assertion that the R's don't want America to succeed. I also agree that it is absurd that it should take 60 votes in the Senate to get anything done, when a majority is all it should take. The Senators should take a hard look at their rules.

  5. We are on the same side of the fence on this one. Thanks for sharing it; I just had my brother listen to it, too.

  6. AITBR: Thanks!!! I had to let it out! Leading seems to be in short supply these days.

    Chancy: Exactly!!!

Betty: He certainly did!!!! And I agree -- a majority is a majority whether it's one vote or ten!

Mare: These bozos are ruining our country and I'm glad you agree. I think Bernie makes perfect sense.

  7. It's nice to know there are still a few sensible people in Washington. Good for Bernie.

  8. Great video...of course Bernie is a (gasp) socialist, an independent in the Senate. Kay, you are the only person I read who is "hanging out in campaign headquarters." I believe your doing this offers an astounding model for older people. Would love to hear more about it.

  9. Robert: Indeed he is!!!! I know why he keeps getting elected.

Darlene: Right on!!! I wish some others would stand up for the right things.

Naomi: Yes, he is but he also makes perfect sense and that is rare these days. As to my volunteering, I'm not the only elder. Most of the volunteers for John are elders or college age. The rest of the world is busy try to work and raise their families.

  10. I agree with Bernie, the Republicans want power at all costs and if it means to keep America down they don’t care. As you say they are no patriots.

  12. Republicans are really beginning to get me mad... No, they've already got me going crazy. I believe it! It's all about power, not about trying to save the country. It's so aggravating. I'll be waiting for your post tomorrow.

  13. I LOVE THIS MAN! And he speaks the truth as he always has..I loved when he said--"I'm on the floor of the Senate Every Day......." YES! The Republicans are only into "SELF-INTEREST"---NOT The American People and Their Needs!!!!!!!

    Frightening as hell!!!!!
