Update Again

Another hectic, long day! I've been home so much lately that I'm not used to running around like this.

We were disappointed because there weren't many antique vendors about which is prolly okay because Jeff really doesn't need anymore but if you're a collector, you keep looking for that Queen Anne chair or Shaker cupboard that's a bit better than the one you have. He ragged on me because I bought a new dress at Goodwill -- black, of course and a Liz Claiborne to boot -- for seven bucks -- that will look nice at the symphony on Saturday night and I have everything I need to go with it. He kept saying he'd buy me a new dress at the mall but what fun is that? Besides, I really don't like him buying me anything but dinner.

We took his neighbors, Steve and Maureen, out for dinner to the Syrian restaurant not far from my place and had a great time. They always roll out the red carpet for us as we both have known the owners for years. Steve and Maureen keep an eye on his house for him so it was his treat. I've known them a while because Steve was my son's soccer coach for a couple years. It was a really nice evening and dinner was to incredible as always.

Tomorrow night his business partner and his wife are hosting a party in his honor for the company and selected clients. They are nice people and I think we'll have a nice time if the the weather cooperates.

A huge blizzard (7-10 inches) is supposed to hit us tomorrow afternoon and continue through Saturday. Yikes!!! When we heard the forecast, we decided we had better come up with an alternate plan!! I just hope the symphony isn't cancelled. I really shouldn't complain -- we haven't had much snow this winter.

Again, I'm exhausted and I really need to get some sleep after a very long day!!!
I hope to get in some quality time visiting y'all in the morning before I'm off and running again!

Happy Blogging!!!!!

Kay

  5. I hope that the weather does not change your plans. I love the idea of the little black dress for seven dollars. That is at least 100 dollars less than I paid for mine. I need to be more frugal!

  11. I love looking for antiques. I don't have any money to buy, or any room to put them, but digging through old stuff is soothing.
