Laughter as Medicine

I am so stressed out and depressed from what's been happening in our country that I didn't even want to post today. I wandered over to YouTube to see if I could find something fun to no avail and I finally just typed 'laughter' in the search box and found the video on Laughter Yoga below that features John Cleese of Monty Python fame. It's a great mood brightener and I suspect that Dr. Kataria is onto something and y'all can read more about it here. I was impressed!

Okay tell me you didn't laugh!!!!!!

Happy Blogging and Laughing!!!!!!

  1. I'm laughing, I'm laughing. I loved it. I remember one book about laughter and the poor sick author who got well once he started laughing. I know I have been healthier since I married into laughter. Silly me.

  3. I too am having a hard time shaking the recent happenings in our country. I posted the links to two articles about it in my post today. I also learned liberals make up 20% of Americans. No wonder my side never gets anywhere.

  5. I loved it. We mustn't let ourselves turn into a grim lot just because times are hard! We should enjoy life as much as we can, because martyrdom does not help anyone.

  6. Thanks for putting that up. Makes a lot of sense.

If you are with people that are sad, negative or just plain grouchy - it can be catchy.

If you are with happy and positive people - that can be catchy too.

I try to hook up with the happy people!

  8. This is great! You could just see those endorphins multiplying and going out into the universe.

Don't let the bastards get you down, Kay. A day at a time!

  10. We need all the laughs we can get Kay....especially lately. I can't watch the news much; but I agree with Hattie...we have to enjoy life as much as we can. I've always been a positive person, I can't afford to have that change. Humor and laughter have always kept me on the right road....they really are the best medicine in life. Love, Joy

  14. I loved it and he's right laughter is so important in our lives and when I'm feeling down I ask my friend Janice to make me laugh as she's a nut about comedy, making jokes and getting everyone to smile.
