The Friday Groaner

It's Friday and by now y'all are, most likely tired of Irish jokes. However, Alice of My Wintersong sent along this gem and I couldn't resist posting it to end the week!!!!! I think you'll love it even if you already heard it on St. Patrick's Day!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!!!

Two Irishmen, Paddy and Michael, were adrift in a lifeboat following a dramatic escape from a burning freighter.

"I sure could use a beer right now," Paddy blurted out suddenly.

A bit later while rummaging through the boat's provisions, Paddy happened upon an old lamp. Secretly hoping that a genie would appear, he rubbed the lamp vigorously.

To the his total amazement, a genie came forth. This particular genie, however, stated that he could only deliver one wish, not the standard three of storybook fame.

Without giving much thought to the matter, Paddy blurted out, "Could ye be makin' the entire ocean into Guinness, sir?"

The genie clapped his hands with a deafening crash, and immediately the entire sea turned into the finest brew ever sampled by mortals . . . and then vanished.

Only the gentle lapping of Guinness on the hull broke the stillness as the two men considered their circumstances.

Michael looked disgustedly at Paddy whose wish had been granted and after a long, tension-filled moment, he spoke:

"Nice going Paddy! Now we're going to have to pee in the bloody boat!"

GROOOOOAAAAAAAANNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!

Happy Blogging!!!!!!!!!!

This is definitely a keeper and one that makes clear the philosophy of seeing the glass half empty.
