Tuesday, Tuesday Random Thoughts

It's Tuesday, Tuesday in Ohio and Monday, Monday is but a memory that I hope was/is a good one for y'all. The highlight of mine was calling Rain of Rainy Day Thoughts. She is, for my money, one of the most logical and best thinkers in the Blogosphere -- not to mention a great friend.

The Kay has been traveling around the Land of Blog and found some commentary worthy of note.

Jan of happenin-here who also writes the "Gay and Gray" feature at TGB put up one of the best commentaries I've read on the mess that is this country today. I'm swiping the video because my audience is different than hers. Please keep in mind that this man,Andrew Bacevich, lost his only son, a very fine young man, in Iraq and is a former officer in our military. However, he suspended both as he got it right on what has been happening in this country in recent decades in this interview with Bill Moyers. I can't wait to read the book. He actually makes sense! You can hear more of him here. Listen and weep. He says what I've been thinking for a long time.

* My good friend, AlwaysQuestion, wrote an excellent piece on what's been going on in this country that really tells it like it is as we said back in the day. You can check it out here and I hope y'all do. He makes some truly excellent points.

* I'm not specifically mad at anyone. I'm mad at every damned politician in Congress and the Senate. They're too damned busy playing silly-assed games at our expense (and trust me, it's HUGE) to really consider the needs of us ordinary mortals. If you're not having a hard time getting by, you are blessed and you had best be down on your knees in thanks. The rest of us are hurting.

* The Kay is ready to throw in the towel. I have had enough of jumping through hoops to avoid total poverty. I'm tired of being castigated and emotionally abused because I can't find an unsubsidized job in a county that has one of the highest unemployment rates in the state. Despair doesn't cover how I feel right now. My health is failing from the stress and nobody cares. I am making three phone calls in the morning that will seal my fate. I'm tired of fighting -- I will survive one way or another -- or not. This is an excellent video blast from the past as well as my thinking right now.

* If y'all didn't like yesterday's groaner, I'm sorry. (It showed with the low response.) That AQ, a former career CPO, liked it was good enough for me.

Happy Blogging from a very disgruntled, upset, and depressed . . .

  1. Good Morning Kay. . . Never give up! It's more fun to hang in there and laugh. Remember, depression is just anger without enthusiam. So snap out of it. If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments. Cherrio!

  2. Thanks, Bumps!!! I'm not depressed; I am angry and not going down without a fight. Payments? I'm too poor to have payments!!! Something I've learned is when to cut my losses. And right now I think I'm fighting a losing battle so walking a way might be best for my mental health.

  3. I agree that Rain writes one of the best blogs on the Internet.

I think of you and know how hard it is to be alone when fighting a battle. Your blogging friends are there for you, so even if we are not physically present you know someone is wishing you well.

Am always trying to learn something new...I agree so with you too....these politicians should only be allowed to serve two terms at the most. Sylvia said that on my blog and I was like...YEAH!
Good luck tomorrow, you have the right attitude!

Kay, one of those readers who doesn't comment sending good wishes to you. You have more friends than you realize. Wish there was something more I could do.
