This is where I think out loud about Life, the Universe and Everything. I consider life an adventure and this is part of mine whether I'm ranting on politics or taking you on a ramble through Kay's World.
I'm looking forward do the next two sections. One of the things that I so wonder about life in your country, is why is there only an hot and cold faucet when it comes to employment? Your story brought this home to me again. So many other countries allow part time at any level of management. I've been working part time as a professional engineer since my children were born, i.e. for the last 18 years.
I would also add to Lilalia's question -- why is it in this country that for a man to have children is ok for his career and for a woman it's a fatal blow to a career -- wish it wasn't so!

ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your next installment!!
Yes isn't it sad that raising children is not considered to be *doing* anything.
ReplyDeleteIt is the most difficult and yet rewarding job that anyone could undertake.
