Quick Update

Someone wiser and funnier than I said that "Old age is when your hip goes out more than you do." Unfortunately, such an occurrence is not funny as I can presently tell you first hand. Not sure how this happened but I've become used to such weird occurences in the past thirty years. Because of this, sitting in front of the computer is painful for me and the latest "How I Got to Be Me" is postponed. It also means my visits to y'all and much needed Spring cleaning is on hold. Grrrr

Fortunately, I already had a doctor's appointment scheduled for tomorrow and am toughing it out with Ibuprofen and rest until then. Truth be told, I'll probably be toughing it out with that anyway as I hate most pain medications because of the dreadful side effects.

Thanks to all of you for following the series and the many, many kind words! It's really gratifying!!! I shall return as soon as possible.

Happy Blogging!!!!!!!

Kay

P.S. I found a new salon/spa around the corner from office that I may have to check out because I truly love its name. It's called . . . are y'all ready? . . . Saunaquanon! LOL

  1. Oh Kay, I hope you find a remedy to your hip pain soon. Mine's my left leg. Ha, it's always something. Take whatever time you need. We'll be here...

  2. hope your hip is better soon. It's definitely one of those things we have more often as we age. I learned about 10 years ago about the importance of a good tennis shoe for me as I had a lot of hip pain (no going out though) and finding one with gel inserts made the difference. I guess I have one hip higher than the other; so expect it'll cause more grief with time. A structural masseuse said she could fix it over about 12 extremely painful adjustments but the chiropractor felt at my age that it would throw a lot of other things askew; so who knows. Anyway good luck with yours

  3. If that salon/spa were in my town, there would always be a crowd of people staring up at the sign, their lips moving silently, as they tried to pronounce it.

  4. Sorry to hear about your hip and hope your pain relief works. That salon name is a tongue twister.

  6. I take Lotrin (generic version) for that and also Extra Strength tylenol. My left hip is almost always painful, due to lower back vertebral outages!!

There used to be creatures that got old and expired without feeling any pain, alas they are no more, instead we have these aching old humans like you and I.

    The creature? A die-no-sore ;-)

  9. As my husband recently said about his bum knee, "The wheels are starting to come off." Not fair! Get feeling better quick!
