HELP!!!!!!

I'm having a break down!!!! Those right royal bastard at Google are trying to foist their stupid Google+ on me and I don't want it. it's stupid & intrusive and I plain damn don't want it!!!!

I tried a system restore and it did help. I tried Blogger help and, as usual, they were helpless.

I am not a happy camper and I need help.

Kay

  1. y'know, every now & then Google+ rears its ugly head here, but I ignore it. I do belong to it, but apart from some wonderful, distant relatives and one very excellent tech guy, I don't have much to do with it. I resist all its pleas for upgrading, improvement, that lot. Be firm!!

  2. I am afraid I can't help. The Internet has a way of changing and I guess it's part of it. I have Google+ but never use it nor have I felt it interfered yet in anything. I didn't put info there. My granddaughter uses it and when she visits, she checks in often as it's where she keeps her books, her pictures and communicates with her friends. That's the sum total of what I know about it as I keep nothing there but never cared if they needed me to have an ID there either; so I can't help you with avoiding it. I don't worry much about the Internet for privacy invasion because I just don't do anything there that I care if others know-- anymore ;)

  4. I also have google+ but choose to ignore it. I can get to it if I want to. But usually I don't. Unfortunately, Google has become much like Microsoft was--ubiquitous and hard to get away from. And frustrating. As I know from Google's killing Reader. I don't like the alternatives nearly as much.

  5. Me too Kay. I joined it but don't enjoy it and just left it at that. I never click on the +sign, and don't hear from them or any other Google+ people.

  6. I couldn't even do a "system restore" so you're beyond my reach here.

  7. Gracious! I don't even know what that Google+ is. Thanks for the warning though.

  8. As with others, cannot offer assistance. Recently gmail wants to re-order my in-box. First, they divide it into three categories, then you have the opp to rearrange to suit your own preferences. Isn't that thoughtful. For now it's possible to stay with simplicity. I care much more about internet intrusion this way than whether govt. listening to my calls!

    1. It's a nightmare having other people categorize and sort your stuff! Do they think we are DEMENTED? ? ? Why yes they do!!!!!
One nice thing about living in a cauldren cooker pot, nothing stays the same for very long so we don't have to learn their program if we don't want to. And I don't want to.

  9. I ignore almost everything. Passive resistance works best.

  11. Don't have it. You've probably tried this, but if not, can you just go to "My Computer" and delete the program that runs it?

  14. I wish I knew how to help, but sorry to say I don't know. I don't even know what it is or if we're members. I hope my ignorance is my bliss and that I don't feel blindsided down the road someday. Maybe Dick's suggestion would help? If I learn something from anyone around here, I'll let you know.
