It's the Groaner of the Week!!!!!

I'm still pretty much burnt out on Life, the Universe and Everything and not feeling well to boot. Needless to say, I'm having a hard time getting things done in any and all areas of my so-called life. However, I did think y'all might need a groooaaannn to start your week and this one is a gem!!!
Many thanks to my friend, Cis, over at From a Simple Mind for sending it!!!!

Did you ever wonder why there are no dead penguins on the ice in Antarctica - where do they go?

Wonder no more!

It is a known fact that the penguin is a very ritualistic bird which lives an extremely ordered and complex life. The penguin is very committed to its family and will mate for life, as well as maintaining a form of compassionate contact with its offspring throughout its life.

If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other members of the family and social circle have been known to dig holes in the ice, using their vestigial wings and beaks, until the hole is deep enough for the dead bird to be rolled into and buried.

The male penguins then gather in a circle around the fresh grave and sing:

"Freeze a jolly good fellow"
"Freeze a jolly good fellow."

Then they kick him in the ice hole.

I hope y'all are laughing as hard as I did!!!!!

Happy Blogging!!!!!!

Kay

  10. Kay it’s nice to come to your blog and read your “groaners.” I went to your lovely state of Ohio and heard plenty about your governor. The people I talked with do not like him – who voted for him? Anyway I took many pictures and just published a post, explaining Ohio and OSU to my overseas bloggers – I hope I did not make any mistake. Next post will be part 2, on OSU again.

I started trying to switch summer/winter clothes plus continue to put back the stuff we moved during Hurricane Irene and now I just have piles everywhere
if my back or ankle or knee doesn't fail me then my mind just shuts down and I don't know what the hell I'm doing

I know how frustrating it is
