It's the Groaner of the Week!!!!!!

It's almost August -- although it doesn't feel like it in Ohio. How cold is it you ask? It's so cold that I've hardly run the ceiling fans all summer and the furnace was kicked on one night and I had the thermostat set at sixty!!!! And of course that got me a thinking and this almost but not quite giggle/groooaaannn came to mind. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!

Three men took a small plane to the wilderness in northern Canada to hunt moose over a long weekend. The pilot told them, “Remember, this is a very small plane and you will only be able to bring one moose back.” But when they returned they each had a moose. The pilot said, “I told you to bring one moose only.”

“That’s what you told us last year,” replied the laughing hunters, “but for an additional $100 you allowed us to bring three moose. Here, take $100 now.” The pilot took the money and helped them bring all three moose onboard.

About twenty minutes after takeoff, the plane stalled and crashed. In the wreckage, one of the groggy men asked, “Where are we?” The pilot said . . .

Are y'all ready?

“The same place we crashed last year.”

Happy Blogging!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Sometimes you go above and beyond the call of duty to properly produce a genuine groaner and this is one of those times.

  2. Agreed. That was a good one.

Btw, re cold summer...think of the money you're saving on electric fans. We get a little of both here, enough to keep the electric company and the gas company fed.

  3. There's a moral in this groaner somewhere.

  4. They say that even if you lose both engines on a twin-engine plane, you still have enough kinetic energy to make it all the way to the crash site. :)

  6. The damn plane was probably a Beaver. An Otter would have handled 3 mooses plus the hunters.
Here cuz we Otter know better we don't leave it to Beaver.
