Sure and Begorrah! It's the Groaner of the Week!!!

Top 'o the Mornin'!

Yeah, I'm a day early but I've been known to start celebrating even earlier in my callow youth -- not that I'll celebrate !!! Everyone is Irish on Saint Patrick's Day and I've a wonderful groooaaannnn for all ye all as you raise a wee jar (or two or . . . ) as loyal sons and daughters of Ye Olde Sod!!!! It's a bit twisted and not quite a groaner but I truly believe, lads and lassies, that this will leave each of you with an excuse to have yet another jar!!!!!

However, do heed this caveat tomorrow: If you see leprechauns swimming in your green beer, you've had too many. Call a cab to get home.

An Irishman had been drinking at a pub all night.
The bartender finally said that the bar was closing.

So, the Irishman stood up to leave and fell flat on his face.

He tried to stand one more time; same result.

He figured he'd crawl outside and get some fresh air
and maybe that would sober him up.

Once outside, he stood up and fell on his face again.

So he decided to crawl the four blocks home.

Again, he fell flat on his face.

He crawled through the door and into his bedroom.

When he reached his bed he tried one more time to stand up.

This time he managed to pull himself upright,
but he quickly fell right into the bed and was sound asleep
as soon as his head hit the pillow.

He was awakened the next morning
to his wife standing over him, shouting,
"SO YOU'VE BEEN DRINKING AGAIN!"

Putting on an innocent look,
and intent on bluffing it out he asked,
"What makes you say that?"

"The pub just called;
you left your wheelchair there again!"

Happy Blogging and Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!!!!

  2. Oh, Lord. Funny and horrible, all at the same time.

Our St. Patrick's Day parade was called off Sat. due to rain, but they'll try again next week. We are going out to dinner tomorrow, but were having Chinese food. LOL. At least, this Irish girl will wear green!!

  4. Glad you stopped by. I've been catching up on your blog, and I love, love, love your songs that you put out there for us to listen to! Kate Smith, Fred Astaire, Barbra Streisand...classics!!
I hope that you are gaining strength as the weather improves. I, for one, will be happy to walk again. [broke my leg 2/17] Here's hoping that on Wed. I am cleared to put weight on it again.
Hang in there! Better days are coming.
