Jack Is at It Again!!!!

The shoe-throwing incident in Iraq over the weekend has everyone talking? Jack Cafferty, as usual was on the story and while I always enjoy his commentary, I thought the comments by viewers were truly interesting.

What do y'all think about the latest debacle?

Happy Blogging!!!!!!!!

    Shoe-Hurling Iraqi Terrorism?

    Imagine the acronym ;-)

  3. Well, I found it deeply disturbing, frankly, and I am not remotely a Bush fan. Given it is a grievous insult in that culture, the guy got his point across. But, it was definitely just a difference form of violence.

Bush was cavalier about it, but that guy threw his shoes not only at Bush and his administration, but I even feel the humiliation. What do you think?

  4. I find it most sad that our president did not get the depth of the meaning of that insult. The widows, the orphans, the tragedy is not to be made light of.

Bush surely did not understand the insult at the time. If he has a grain of decency left in him, he should call Baghdad and suggest they let al Zaida off. You know, the CHRISTIAN thing to do ;-)

  6. Interesting hearing Cafferty's take on it. I think it shows the disrespect and helplessness that many in the world feel about this man who even today can only justify his actions with a So What! That's Bush and Cheney to the core and this man expressed himself in a way not intended to hurt the president but show his total disgust. The price he will pay is way beyond what a lot of Americans have been willing to pay to send a similar message. If it had been a remotely violent attack, it'd be different, but it clearly was not intended to hurt but simply to make a statement and you can bet this was the only place that would have even been possible on Bush's last trip there as the president.

Shoe-icide Bombing! The headline from some newspaper made me really laugh. However, George W. is our president and the whole thing left me uncomfortable with our position in the world.
