Sharing Some Stuff that Landed in My Email

I've been feeling pretty lousy but I do want to keep up here. Today is Dr. Maria day and hopefully, it will go well. We'll see. I'm still in pain and there a couple other things I hope we can talk about.

* Here's a moment of sanity from a member of the GOP -- and it prolly comes as no surprise that it came from a woman -- yeah, I can be a chauvinist.

* Sincere condolences to the family and friends of newsman Mike Wallace who passed away at age 93. He was one of the greats in news. Would that those over at Faux News could spell and define 'integrity' or even engage in it. Here's a favorite quote from this great man . . .

"The Westmoreland affair, professionally and personally, was one of the most difficult times of my life. It was just devastatingly difficult because my integrity was put to question, and as a reporter, that's the single most important thing you've got."

Rest in peace, Mike!

*Here's some more food for thought . . .

And here's Bernie Sanders on our side as always . . .

Hope y'all are having a great day!!

Happy Blogging!!!!

  2. Hang in there Kay.The pain does go away. Look at it as a sign that the body is doing the healing thing.

  3. It's good to see you here, but I hope you're taking good care of yourself. It's hard to care for one's self, at least from my perspective. Are you taking anything for the pain? I hope your doctor visit goes well and you find a bit of resolution Kay.

I'm also a bit of a chauvinist. How can you not me with these Tea Party women putting feminism down.

  4. Don't be afraid to take your pain meds as often as prescribed even if you think you don't need them. A nurse friend told me that one time when I thought I was being strong by trying to go without them. Many other medical people have confirmed it for me over the years. As for being a chauvinist when it comes to the GOP, move over because you have a lot of company! (Love the sharings too.) Feel better!

  5. GREAT Post! I LOVE Bernie Sanders---Oh, how I wish we had MORE of him in both Houses....!
That's a great quote about Homosexuality---I had not heard that before.
I hope you will be feeling better very soon, Kay....End The Pain, NOW! There's a good motto, too....I'll vote for that!

  8. Why the Republicans think they can win this election without women is beyond me.

  9. It was jaw-dropping for me to discover that Faux News' journalist Chris Wallace was Mike Wallace's son!!

  10. Kay - You may be interested to know that the plastic surgeon of a friend of mine, recommended she begin taking 1000mg of fish oil and 1000mg of vitamin C to facilitate healing in her skin. She had a 2 inch vertical incision on her cheek to remove a basal cell carcinoma. I began taking it in the winter after I had a mole removed and have continued with it and while mine was more superficial ..healing well and my skin seems better over all ...even tho I also use a good skin care program. She was healing so well it was hardly noticeable. She said plastic surgeons use very tiny stitches and so obviously that makes a difference. Unfortunately she had to have it reopened because there was concern they may not have gotten it all and so went larger area. Still recommended she take those to supplements in that dose. maybe see what your doc thinks if you want to try this.
