Quick Update and a Mea Culpa

I sincerely apologize for not getting around to visit y'all. It's been sorta busy and the challenge of staying off my feet has not been met well. Sigh. I thought that I sat around too much but I realized how much moving around I really do. Christmas wasn't stellar but I've become used to that but there were a couple bright spots.

My poor Miss Ruby is going to the car doctor. It's not gonna be cheap but there's good news: I checked and there's more money in my 'stash' account than I thought! I try to forget it exists and that's a good thing. The bad news is that I don't always add to it regularly and I just put up a post-it on my monitor to remind me. The other good news is that 'cause I worked for the Census last summer, I'll get a tax refund and will put it in my 'stash' account to help replenish it.

Tomorrow I see the doc and hopefully, there will be some good news here. All I know is that whatever it is, it's triggering anxiety attacks at an alarming rate so Dr. Maria and I will be having quite a chat. Somehow I see tests and more tests in my future. And I'm scared . . . very scared.

So that's about it from Kay's World except that a blizzard is coming our way! Here's the song of this week!!! It was inspired 'cause I watched "Lady Sings the Blues" the other night. It's an all-time favorite of mine as is the lady who sings!!

Happy Blogging!!!!!

Kay

Kay, you need to just sit back and enjoy the fact that you have an excuse to take it easy for a while. Sit back and watch a few more movies and drink a little hot tea. Staying off your feet for a few more days will be good for you.

Watching it snow is also a good reason to sit back for a while. Believe me, I've had several chances for that this year. take care.

  3. Lorna: Will do!!! I am pretty sure my test results will be in and I'm betting there will be more. With my medical history, there are always more tests -- if for no other reason that the doc wants to cover his/her a$$.

AITBR: With my medical history, worry is a fact of life.

  4. I Love her singing, its very soothing.

Sounds like you have everything under control, glad about all the good news.

Take a big breath and don't let the fear take hold. I know, its hard, let us know what the doc says

  5. I am saying a prayer that the doctor can diagnose and fix whatever is causing your problems. I'm in the company of 'Glad that Christmas is over' cause I have to fight the blues headon during the holiday season. My brother is the President of the "Hurray for Jan 2nd Club"...wanna join us?

  9. Hang in there, Kay. I spent almost two years off my feet, some of the time immobilized, some in a wheelchair, and eventually (now) on a walker and an orthotic boot. I'm here to tell you there is hope, and that in time, whatever your doc tells you, you may be able to lead something like a normal life again. I'm an impatient sort, and living with a permanent chronic disability hasn't been fun... but you'd be amazed what you can do once you know what you face. May your news be as good as possible! Be sure to keep us informed.
